・ First, please share with us your thoughts on making it to the semi-final matches.

I've been given the chance to participate in the offline tournament for the third time in a row, and I think that's a pretty big achievement.
But of course, I'm going to give it my all this time as well and aim for my third consecutive victory!

・ Have you been playing card games for a long time?

This is the same answer I gave the two last times, but when I was in high school, I played a bit of Magic the Gathering, and then I played Alteil when I was at university.

・ Do you feel confident for the semi-finals?

With the achievements I've made so far, I'm fairly confident, but probably not as much as everyone thinks.

・ It must have been a long journey from the start of the ranked battles to the selection matches, but thinking back on it now, what was your biggest challenge?

The matches got really intense at the end of the ranking period this season, and I honestly didn't know how it would end up. I was able to get first place in the end, but I was so worried that I might make a mistake that'd cost me the spot.

・ Could you tell us more about your deck choice for the online selection matches, and what kind of deck you predicted your opponent would use?

I expected the opponent to use "Clione Cannon" (a Jewel of the Deep Sea + Catastrophe deck), so I was really surprised to see that they chose a carbuncle deck. I used a multi-color proxy deck because I thought it would be a well-built deck that's hard to read. But I think it was really unexpected for both of us when we ended up having 5 battings in a row.

・ What do you think is your best deck out of the ones you used in the ranked battles and the online selection matches?

I think that my best deck this season is my Black Immortal deck that includes Soomin. It is a strong, all-around deck that helped me reach 2100 RP.

・ Lastly, please give us a final message as you prepare for the semi-finals.

I'm going to do my best to uphold my title and achieve my third consecutive victory. Also, please look forward to future modifications to my Soomin deck.

・ First, please share with us your thoughts on making it to the semi-final matches.

I'm really grateful towards my guild members who helped me make adjustments to my deck for the tournament.

・ Have you been playing card games for a long time?

My first digital collectible card game (DCCG) was Hearthstone.

・ Do you feel confident for the semi-finals?

Yes, I'm planning to completely surprise everyone.

・ It must have been a long journey from the start of the ranked battles to the selection matches, but thinking back on it now, what was your biggest challenge?

The fact that there wasn't a variety of decks used, and that my BP earning rate wasn't that great.

・ Could you tell us more about your deck choice for the online selection matches, and what kind of deck you predicted your opponent would use?

I chose a deck that would be strong against black decks, and still being able to hold its own against other types of decks.

・ What do you think is your best deck out of the ones you used in the ranked battles and the online selection matches?

My Immortal deck that helped me break my max RP record.

・ Lastly, please give us a final message as you prepare for the semi-finals.

I'm so excited.

・ First, please share with us your thoughts on making it to the semi-final matches.

During the Zu-jyuva Cup, I didn't make it to the semi-finals, so I'm quite pleased that I was able to break my personal record.

・ Have you been playing card games for a long time?

I've tried many TCG's and DCCG's. The one I played the most is probably Wixoss by Takara Tomy. I've played Alteil 2, one of the predecessors to Alteil Neo, as well.

・ Do you feel confident for the semi-finals?

I've seen the 3 other semi-finalists battle many times during the ranked matches. They are all really strong players, so I'm not confident enough to say that I can win against any of them. But I believe that if I do my best, then it will naturally show in my results.

・ It must have been a long journey from the start of the ranked battles to the selection matches, but thinking back on it now, what was your biggest challenge?

The fact that Soomin was added to the game. Before it was added, I had a deck with a high victory rate. It ruined my strategy.
But even though it took some time, I was somehow able to get back on my feet and make it back into the top 5 in the ranking.

・ Could you tell us more about your deck choice for the online selection matches, and what kind of deck you predicted your opponent would use?

I tried preparing various types of decks, but with the limited time we had until the selection matches, I wasn't able to make a deck that's stronger than my previous one. So I chose the same deck I used in the last tournament, with some minor changes.
I felt that my opponent was able to skillfully use the types of cards that were considered strong in the ranked matches, regardless of alignment. Right before the selection matches, it became common for players to use carbuncles. So I modified my deck while keeping that in mind, only to end up going against a different kind of deck.

・ What do you think is your best deck out of the ones you used in the ranked battles and the online selection matches?

My Soomin Falkow deck that that helped me beat my personal max RP record, and qualify for the selection matches. I managed to win 30 consecutive matches with that deck several times.

・ Lastly, please give us a final message as you prepare for the semi-finals.

I mentioned earlier, but I really believe that if I do my best, it will show in my results. I hope to be able to have an awesome match without making any mistakes.

・ First, please share with us your thoughts on making it to the semi-final matches.

I'm just so happy.

・ Have you been playing card games for a long time?

I played Alteil when it was a browser game.

・ Do you feel confident for the semi-finals?

No, not really.

・ It must have been a long journey from the start of the ranked battles to the selection matches, but thinking back on it now, what was your biggest challenge?

It was troublesome having to battle against players with high RP when I was trying to break my max RP record.

・ Could you tell us more about your deck choice for the online selection matches, and what kind of deck you predicted your opponent would use?

I chose my medium-type black deck, which was the one I used the most during the ranked battles. I had no idea what kind of deck my opponent would use, so I went with the deck I was the most comfortable with.

・ What do you think is your best deck out of the ones you used in the ranked battles and the online selection matches?

My medium-type black deck.

・ Lastly, please give us a final message as you prepare for the semi-finals.

I'm looking forward to having a smooth match without any mistakes - one that everyone will enjoy watching.
